Xijay De Cuahutemoc, Tula De Allende – Rehabilitation Project

In ‘85, the Benicia Rotarians partnered with the Tula Rotarians to fund 2 new classrooms for the primary school in Xijay de Cuautemoc. The 90-year-old school had become unusable and in dire need of repair. The nearby areas of Texquedo and San Miguel de las Piedras are divided by a river that overflows annually, isolating the 2 communities. A culvert bridge would allow safe passage to supplies and schools.
