Sister Clubs

What are they?

Twin clubs, or sister clubs, are two clubs from different countries that form a long-term relationship to promote international understanding and goodwill and carry out service projects in their communities. When looking for a partner, consider clubs that:

  • Share similar interests, challenges, or history
  • You’ve worked with in the past
  • Are located in a place that matches your club’s service interests
  • Speak a common language

However, browse projects seeking resources and consider partnering on a service project as a first step toward establishing a twin club relationship.

Davis Sunrise Rotary Club and Nakuru Rotary Club in Kenya have been sister clubs since 2021. These two sister clubs  have done several District Grant projects together as well as club to club projects, and are currently (in 2024) working out the final details of a global grant application.

Davis Sunrise Rotary Club’s Club to Club projects  with Nakuru Rotary include:

  • Naka Primary School rainwater harvesting
  • Hopewell High School rainwater harvesting
  • Barut Primary School and Parkview Primary School kitchen construction project
  • Soar Kenya Academy underground water storage tank
  • Soar Kenya Academy tuition assistance
