In memory of our esteemed Rotarian Josh Genser, Richmond Rotary is proposing a project that will help to complete Richmond Police Activities League (RPAL) construction of the Josh & Elaina Genser Culinary Center located in RPALs Richmond headquarters. The Culinary Center will serve Richmond, CA youth to provide them the culinary skills that will further their education and/or create new career and employment opportunities. Richmond Rotary will provide a major kitchen appliance of the culinary academy, in addition to also offering supportive workday construction volunteers, and promotional assurance of initial success when the Culinary Center’s program is initiated in early fall of 2023. By supporting this program, Rotary can help steer vulnerable Richmond youth from elementary to high school age towards a productive career in the culinary industry that will benefit the entire community.
