Provide “First Tee Kits” of program equipment, with training and support for the PE teachers in the five Antioch Middle Schools to deliver golf programming to their students as part of their instruction curriculum. Students learn a healthy “inclusive” activity that they can play for a life time and are introduced to Nine Core Values of the program that the game of golf and the program inherently teaches which are “Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Confidence, Responsibility, Perseverance, Courtesy, and Judgment;” additionally the concepts of healthy habits, goal setting, positive decision making and peer selection are delivered while the youth learn and enjoy golf. The First Tee Contra Costa County Program, Outreach, and Executive Directors will deliver materials, train and provide support to the Antioch PE teachers.
