Ensure every senior citizen has a working smoke alarm that meets current safety codes.

Interactors canvas a geographic location, handing out flyers that make seniors aware of this free service. Interactors have the resident sign up for the service or the resident can call and arrange for the service. . In Spring, one weekend date is selected for Club Rotarians and Interactors to service/change batteries, install smoke alarms. Currently our club concentrates it’s service on the Sunny Glen area where there are 168 home and 60 condo’s where seniors reside. Each home or condo has a minimum of 2 smoke alarms and 1 carbon monoxide smoke detector. . The San Ramon Valley Fire District provides funding for alarms and batteries
