The Rotary Club of Hayfork is seeking matching funds to provide a commercial dishwasher for the kitchen at the dining hall of the Trinity County Fairgrounds. The dining hall is used by nearly everyone in our community – it’s one of a handful of event spaces for parties, fundraisers, showers, and memorials; the kitchen at the dining hall was used as a backup kitchen for our elementary and high schools when mold was discovered and rendered their kitchens unusable. The fairgrounds are an emergency evacuation center and are used to house disaster relief workers during fires and other disasters. Installing a dishwasher for the kitchen will benefit everyone in our community for many years to come.
