Youth Protection Policy for all Youth Programs other than Youth Exchange

Includes, but is not limited to: Interact, Rotaract, Camp Royal, Young Royal, Camp Venture, and transporting youth in any program

The process to become a Vetted Volunteer for D5160 Youth Programs (other than Youth Exchange) has changed to maintain compliance with Rotary International. As the vetting process is now more involved, D5160 has contracted with the Volunteer Youth Management (VYM) database system to maintain our records.

  1. To start the process, pay for your background check
  2. Once payment is received, you will be sent a link via e-mail to continue the application process which consists of the following steps:
    ~ Application, including three personal references
    ~ Twelve question Interview on working with youth
    ~ Background Check
    ~ Youth Protection Awareness Training

The vetting process is good for three years. As items of application come up for renewal, the applicant will be sent e-mails on the steps to take.
