To the wonderful sounds of German Polka music, the Woodland Luna Vista Club held their third annual Oktoberfest at the end of September.  Attended by over 300 people (including DG Earl Kilmer and other Rotary dignitaries), the event was held at the historic Gibson House Museum in Woodland where the Woodland Rotary clubs just finished a project (in conjunction with Yolo County) to build a new building to house bathrooms, dressing rooms, and a kitchen for events hosted at the museum.  Rumors that DG Earl won the Yodeling contest have not been proven but there was lot’s of fun enjoyed by all the attendees listening and dancing to the Al Gruber band along with wonderful food and plenty of beer.  For this year’s event, Luna Vista Rotary raised funds for Summer House Supported Living and the Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Center of Yolo County.
