One of the reasons is that it will inevitably change the rest of your life, and I bet in 100% of cases the change will be good. Throughout the year I matured. I suddenly realized that I was fully independent from my real, birth parents. But I needed to learn how to handle that freedom - I had to make the decisions that I used to rely on my parents. When there were no mom and dad to control me, I finally started to think myself - what I should do and what I shouldn't. My brain, my will and my conscience became my parents. And that's what happens in the adult life. So the exchange year gave me a full excursion with 3D effects into the life with responsibilities."-Ksusha Lukanova
