Governor’s Aug Message

Well , we are off to a very ” Hot Hot Hot”  Rotary year in 2009/10.  Thank you to everyone who attended the District 5160 Academy Awards and Installation Gala in Corning on July 11.  We had a total of 230 people along with 36 Interactors who made our experience one you won’t soon forget.  We were set for 200 people who sent RSVP’s and then had to add (at the last minute) 30 additional.  A big Rotary Thank You to the Rotary Club of Corning for their outstanding leadership with this event.  It would not have happened without their capable leadership. New President Kyle Lauderdale should be very proud of their club and their members.  Thank you also to PDG Jim Campbell and his Awards Team for putting together a very nice presentation for the clubs and  Congratulations to all the award winners for the 2008/09 Rotary Year.

In keeping with our commitment to the Clubs and Membership of the District, we will be holding 2 (two) Foundation and Membership Training and Information Meetings - August 1 in Red Bluff and on August 15 in Fairfield.  Please get your members signed up. There is no cost to the Clubs and it is a wonderful opportunity for your Club Team Leaders and your general Membership to get the information and training they need in these areas.  Foundation Team Leader Candy Pierce and the Foundation Team, and Membership Team Leader Vic Georgiou and the Membership Team will ensure that all the information you get is timely, Informative, and Fun !!!! So get your pre-registrations in ASAP.

Keep up the Great Rotary Work and this wonderful Enthusiasm you have all generated so far, and I look forward to seeing all of you at our next event.
