Rotary District 5160

Dear Rotary Club:

Today when I picked up Lauren, she had a "mile wide" smile on her face. As she ran towards me, she proudly shouted, "Mom, I have a new dictionary and you can use it too."

I cannot thank you enough for your generosity towards my child and all the others who have been touched by your kindness. I have worked very hard to instill academic values in my children and today with your support Lauren realizes that people (besides mom and dad) do care about the growth of their young minds.

Again I would like to thank you for your continued support of our children and our community.

Sincerely,
V. R.

Dear Rotary Members:

Yesterday, my 9 year old daughter received a copy of the "Children's Dictionary" in her 3rd grade class at the Woodland Montessori School. This is a beautiful book and a wonderful addition to Erika's library. I'm impressed with the caliber of work being done by the Rotary Club on behalf of the Literacy Project. Obviously, the Rotarians are a group of people who are really making a difference. Thank you very much for your generous gift.

Hi George!

The dictionary project was the best idea that has come from any community service club that I've ever seen. I would hope that you've started something, and that it can continue forever.

We've read these letters, and they are enough to make even the eyes of hardened club members sweat. They must sweat, as we are all too tough to cry.

On a personal note: My niece came home with her dictionary. My sister-in-law said that she was very proud to own her very own, personal dictionary, and that it is used frequently. She refers to it as 'HER!" book. The very first that she's ever owned...
