NO DISTRICT FINAL THIS YEAR - Event ends with Regional Runoffs. District will underwrite 4 area runoffs, see attachments for details.
This year there is a VIDEO option -  In an effort to expand the program to schools and students who cannot participate in club events, and to recognize the interest of the new generation in video technology, students may prepare a maximum 4 minute You Tube Video for consideration, see attachments for details.

· schedule a date for your club event to be complete before the runoff in your area

· send victor20@pacbell.net the name and email of your Event Chair and your choice of runoff venue

The dollar amounts for club awards are suggestions and have not changed in many years.
Your club may go higher or lower to fit your situation.

1. The purpose of the contest is to encourage youth, Rotarians and the community at large to more completely understand, encourage and foster the principles of Rotary and the object of “Service Above Self”.
2. The speech contestants may speak on any subject to which they can apply “The Four Way Test”. The speech must reflect clearly the practical application of all four points of the Four-Way Test. The Four Way Test of Rotary is as follows:
   Of the things we think, say, or do:
   1. A. Is it the TRUTH?
   2. B. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
   3. C. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
   4. D. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
